Equalizer Apo Workbench 2026 is a community documentation and helper toolkit for Equalizer APO, the system-wide parametric equalizer for Windows. It bundles preset templates, config.txt examples, and a guided Windows utility so you can tune headphones, speakers, and room correction without digging through scattered forum threads.

This workbench documents workflows for the shipping 1.4.2 build. Install Equalizer APO separately from the official SourceForge project, then use this toolkit to organize presets and config files.

🚀 Quick start

1. Download the Windows executable from the project site.
2. Run the downloaded .exe and allow it through Windows SmartScreen if prompted.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to point the workbench at your Equalizer APO config folder and apply a starter preset.

❓ FAQ

Do I still need Equalizer APO installed?
Yes. This repo is a companion toolkit. Install Equalizer APO 1.4.2 first, then use the workbench to manage presets.

Will this work with Peace GUI or other front-ends?
Yes. Presets export standard Equalizer APO filter text that Peace and other tools can read.

Is the source available?
Helper scripts and small utilities under src/ are open for review and local modification.
