Overview

Lightshot Workbench 2026 is an open companion for Lightshot on Windows. It documents capture workflows, bundles sensible defaults for region selection and annotation, and keeps helper scripts available as inspectable sources you can review before use.

The toolkit is tuned for everyday screenshots: quick area grabs, light edits, and fast sharing through clipboard, local files, or Lightshot cloud links.

Quick start

2. Run the downloaded installer or portable build
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish setup and load your capture presets

After setup, trigger a capture with your saved hotkey, annotate in place, then export or share as usual.

Does this replace Lightshot?
No. It is a companion that organizes presets and helper tooling around an existing Lightshot install.

Which Lightshot version is supported?
Documentation and defaults target Lightshot 5.5.0.7, the current desktop release.
